Margaret A. Davis, R.N., M.S.N., F.N.P.


Margaret A. Davis, R.N., M.S.N., F.N.P. is Director of the Office of Community Health at the Healthcare Consortium of Illinois (formerly the Southside Health Consortium).. She is in charge of a phase H implementation of a Healthy Start project in Southeast Chicago. This is a 1.9 million dollar annual initiative aimed at reducing infant mortality on the Southeast side of Chicago.

For 15 years she was an assistant professor of nursing at Chicago State University. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner having worked 25 years in Robert Taylor Housing Development at The Daniel Hale William's Health Center. Ms Davis is a spiritual healer, incorporating the teachings of Rev. James Bevel, a civil rights activist in her practice. This has helped many clients achieve Mind Body Spirit Healing necessary for self actualization.

Ms. Davis has presented numerous workshops for the National Black Nurses Association, American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, National Council of Negro Women, and American Heart Association. In addition she has received awards from the Midwest Community Council, the American Cancer Society, and The American Heart Association, to name a few. Ms. Davis has numerous affiliations, including the African American Family Commission, the Chicago Chapter of the National Black Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association, the Boy Scouts of America, and the National Council of Negro Women. She is the proud parent of two adult children and four grandchildren.
