Natalia Deeb-Sossa, M.A.

Natalia Deeb-Sossa is a Ph.D. Student in the Department of Sociology & M.S. Student in the Department of Statistics, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She holds a M.A. in Sociology from University of South Carolina at Columbia and M.A. and B.A. in Economics from Universidad de Los Andes, Bogotá, Colombia (S.A.).

She is the Social Forces Associate Editor, Department of Sociology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2001-2002). She is also on the Board of Directors of the Hispanic Liaison of Chatham County (El Vínculo Hispano) and on the Board of Advisors of the Online Journal Feminista!.

She is the the reciepient of the COLFUTURO (Foundation for the Future of Colombia) scholarship (1995-1998)and Dean's Award-Second Best Graduate, Universidad de Los Andes, Bogotá, Colombia.

Her current research deals with Amexican Immigrants and the use of cognitive assessment techniques in questionnaire development, interviewing techniques and questionnaire development for surveys of culturally diverse populations and the role of coding time in estimating and interpreting growth curve models.
