42nd Minority Health Conference (Virtual)

We are proud to present our 42nd annual Minority Health Conference at the Gillings School of Global Public Health. In the time of a global health crisis, there is a greater need to raise awareness on health disparities. To ensure the safety of our attendees, we are moving our conference to a virtual platform. The planning committee is dedicated to hosting an interactive and informative conference, albeit fully virtual. The deadline for Student Early Bird Registration is December 31st. Registration ends when spaces fill up, so reserve your attendance today!

Theme:

BODY & SOUL

THE PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE OF HEALTH ACTIVISM

Date:

FEBRUARY 25 – 26 2021

ABOUT THE THEME: Body and Soul is based on the recognition that health does not only refer to one’s physical body but rather the whole person –their mental and social wellbeing inclusive. This year’s conference will focus on the activism that is currently taking place in the public health community, while paying  homage to the activism of those who came before us. The conversations about health have become multi-faceted, and public health work should reflect these changes.
