Timothy Wilcosky
After earning his masters and doctoral degrees from the Department of Epidemiology at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, Tim served on the Epidemiology faculty. Besides his research and other contributions, he co-taught the School's introductory epidemiology course (EPID160 from 1985 to 1990 and the introductory course for Epidemiology majors (EPID168) in 1990 (EPID160 historical site). He then moved to RTI International.

Tim Wilcosky passed away February 7, 2025.

Joe and Tim have been very close since childhood. Tim earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University in zoology in 1971. He then earned a degree from Ohio State University in Preventive Medicine, followed by his degree in Public Medicine (epidemiology) from UNC. Tim worked as an epidemiologist until his retirement.
