Sherman A. James, Ph.D.

Sherman A. James, Ph.D is John P. Kirscht Collegiate Professor of Public Health with joint professorships in the Department of Epidemiology and in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Education, University of Michigan. He currently chairs the Department of Health Behavior and Health Education. Dr. James is also the founding director of the School of Public Health's Center for Research on Ethnicity, Culture, and Health (CRECH).
